Longbourn Bed and Breakfast was built around 1895. It is a beautiful late Victorian country house and rare breed smallholding set within 11 acres of Wealden countryside and located in an area of outstanding natural beauty just outside the village of Broad Oak, East Sussex.

At Longbourn you will experience a warm welcome. Hosts Jane and Roland Horton look forward to greeting each of their guests personally. Longbourn is perfect for those seeking a country house experience. The beautifully decorated and furnished rooms reflect the period of the house creating a truly authentic country house feel, making it the perfect place to stay and relax or for a family wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the town or simply to enjoy a rural break. The main accommodation offered is located on the first floor and accessed by stairs. In addition, there are two more family rooms on the second floor, available by special arrangement.

Jane and Roland pride themselves on their home-grown and locally sourced breakfast of freshly laid free range eggs from their traditional Lohmann Brown hens, home-made sausages and bacon from their Rare Breed Middle White pigs.

Longbourn is a rare breed smallholding with a conservation flock of Soay sheep, peacocks and “Nelly” the Tamworth who likes to be fed the odd digestive biscuit or custard cream on a visit around the smallholding.
